Claire’s Music Club is an early years music experience for little ones led by by former BBC Young Traditional Musician of the year Claire Hastings.

Through songs, rhymes, movement and stories, children will learn basic musical concepts like pulse, rhythm and pitch whilst enjoying live music. Children experience real instruments such as ukulele and fiddle and learn songs in English, Scots and Gaelic languages. Claire uses puppets, scarves, bubbles, parachutes and other materials to make the sessions fun and engaging.

 

Claire runs regular classes in South Lanarkshire and has been part of the family programme at the Orkney Folk Festival in 2023, 2024 and 2026, where the workshops have been extremely well received by both families and festival organisers. She is in the process of booking festival workshops throughout 2026/27.
