BIOGRAPHY

Claire Hastings is a folksinger/songwriter originally from Dumfries. After graduating with a first class honours degree in Scottish Music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2011, Claire spent 18 months travelling the world with her ukulele, but was drawn back home to Scotland and is now living in Glasgow.

Last year Claire won the prestigious BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year award. Since winning the title, Claire has had the opportunity to perform at many high-profile events including BBC Proms in the Park with the Scottish Symphony Orchestra and at BBC Music Day, where she sang alongside Lulu, Jamie Cullum and….
